What’s up, dear Rossétes!
So, it’s the season of glitz and glamour and it demands you to look your best and bring out the best outfits from your wardrobe.
Here are some ways to start prepping for the wedding season and all the festivities it brings in its wake.
First and foremost, pay heed to the Wedding Invitations as they might state a few dress codes telling about the mood or theme of the events. Please bear in mind that dress codes actually exist to make sure you feel good and on point as feeling under or overdressed at a wedding can definitely put you in an uncomfortable position. A dress code helps to prevent this by giving you a helpful guideline to follow.
Choosing the perfect wedding outfit becomes that much easier & interesting when you know what each dress code really entails.
Let’s get down to brass tacks.
Preparation is the key to an easier life! Embrace it!
You want to look good but not overdressed! Avoid the big wedding faux pas and dress appropriately for the venue and the season.
STEP 1: PLAN
Keep the 4 As in mind –
STEP 2: Rummage
Rummage through your wardrobe to see if there’s anything interesting that catches your fancy. Now is the time to pull out those “wardrobe orphans”. And if you do find something interesting that aligns with the theme or mood of the dress code, grab it and use it as a source of inspiration to build a cluster for the festive season. You don’t need to buy something new every time you get an invite. Tap on the mix and matchability of certain pieces of garments. That way not only will you save money but also design a unique creation of your own and be safe in the knowledge that no one else would be wearing the same!
STEP 3: Stick to a theme
It is extremely important to stick to a theme! If you are planning on going Classic, go all the way and if you want to be Trendy, so be it. Go all out! But do not mix the two. Remember, you want to look pleasing to the eye and not confusing.
STEP 4: Accessorize well!
Wear the right kind of accessories like jewellery, watches, shoes, purses/clutches, belts, etc
STEP 5: Make-up and Hair
With the right kind of hair dos and make-up, you are now ready to ROCK the wedding season as a guest!
Have a great time at the wedding!
